Making it Work
Laser CuttingOur state-of-the-art Trumpf laser gives us the ability to cut materials up to 1/2” mild steel, ¼” stainless steel and 3/16” aluminum and handle sheet sizes ranging up to 60” x 120”. Laser processing gives us the ability to cut burr free edges and results in very narrow kerfs at extraordinary rates of speed. Having this capability in-house allows us to provide our customers with exceptional accuracy and high material utilization on both short run & long run fabrication jobs in addition to complex geometry cutting without the expense of special tooling. Press Brake/FormingAccurate forming is a key ingredient to a quality part. We utilize precision ground, segmented “European style” tooling minimizing set up time and insuring the most accurately formed parts possible. Our panel bender addresses the inherent difficulty in forming large cosmetic pans and panels without twisting or marking. Our offering of forming equipment allows us to address a wide variety of customer needs with repeatability and accuracy.Tonnage Specification•8 ft Press Brake 80 tons •10 ft Press Brake 100 tons Size SpecificationThe Forma-Fab AMADA Press Brake machines will fold material up to 10 ft long depending upon material thickness.
WeldingOur welding equipment and trained staff allow us to provide MIG, TIG and Arc Welding services. We have the equipment and staff to weld aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel. Our welders are highly qualified and practice continuous training improvement methods for making parts right the first time for our customers. We employ some of the best aluminum and stainless steel welders in the business.CapabilityAvailable Welding Processes•MIG (Metal Inert Gas)•TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)•Spot WeldingWe can weld many materials including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum. As with our laser, our punches are automated. We have the capability to punch materials up to 3/8” mild steel and handle sheet sizes up to 48” x 96”. Our automation allows us to run “lights out” minimizing labor, reducing lead times and increasing throughput for our customers.Material Specification•Mild steel up to .25" think •Galvanized steel up to 11 gauge•Stainless steel up to 11 gauge•Aluminium up to .25"Size SpecificationOur CNC AMADA punch machine has a bed size of 4' X 10' and a maximum "throat" of 48". By repositioning, we can punch lengths up-to 12 ft.
We provide engineering services to our clients on an as needed basis. We can assist with value engineering and cost reduction projects as well as full scale product designs. Our software includes Solidworks, Auto Cad 2007, AutoDesk Inventor and Tru-Tops. Using the latest and most sophisticated software allows us to process a variety of 2D and 3D file types. (DXF, DWG, IGES, PDF etc.)
Our insertion machines incorporate up to four separate tool sets during one set up. This allows the inserting of up to four dissimilar pieces of threaded hardware with the same machine during a single handling of a part. Having the ability to insert multiple types of hardware during a single handling allows us to increase throughput and lower overall costs to our customers.

As part of our commitment to offer “turn key” product to our customers, we offer assembly services. This can range from packaging hardware kits with other manufactured product to complex mechanical and electrical assemblies that meet UL and TUV specifications. We adapt our capabilities to meet the varying requirements from our customers.We integrate labeling, traceability and final inspection into the assembly process. We also can provide packaging designs and procure all the components of the assembly and final packaging as well as any required certifications.
We provide powder coating, wet painting, plating, silk screening, etc. to our customers through local contractors. Our plant is centrally located in North Carolina between Greensboro and the Research Triangle Park which allows us to choose from a large variety of highly skilled vendors providing us wiith several choices for competitive prices, reliable turnround times and quality of services.
